This new version of Bram’s Stoker’s original gothic thriller opens up the story and makes this bloodletting tale more sweeping. Using imaginative shadows and scenery, audiences journey to Dracula’s Transylvanian castle to a ghostly shipwreck on England’s shore, to Dr. Seward’s famed insane asylum, and finally to the grand finale in a pre-dawn visit to a lover’s mausoleum. Though closely following the original story, Dracula, King of Vampires raises the stakes with Dracula not only lusting for blood but lusting after world domination as well.
